This project was commissioned by a wind power generation company to design a 'lookout tower with a view of wind turbines' on a hill in a wind farm in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. From the site, a panoramic view of many wind turbines could already be seen. Instead of creating something to show the view once again, the aim was to plan a landscape of 'wind', which orders all the elements that make up this place, such as windmills, flowers and clouds. We planned an entire landscape with windmills and clouds, with wind-swept plantings on the hill and a viewing platform built beside it, which distorts naturally with the force of the wind.

このプロジェクトは風力発電会社から山口県下関市にあるウィンドファーム内の高台に「風車のある景色が見える物見台の設計」という依頼によるプロジェクト。敷地からは既に風車がたくさん建つパノラマ風景を見ることができる場所であった。改めて景色を見せるものをつくるのではなく、風車や草花や雲などこの場を作り出している要素全てを秩序立てている「風」という風景を計画することを目指した。風にそよぐ植栽を丘に施し、その脇に風の力で自然な歪み方をする物見台を建て、風車や雲を伴った風景全体を計画した。
